Community Fund Applicants

Guidance for Applicants (updated 28.04.17)

1) Applications will only be accepted from formally constituted not for profit organisations. However, applications from public or statutory bodies may be accepted in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Committee.
2) Applications will only be accepted that directly benefit the community of Ipplepen.
3) Applications will be accepted from organisations that have a remit wider than the community of Ipplepen, provided that the application will directly benefit the community of Ipplepen.
4) Applications will only be accepted via the use of a fully completed Ipplepen Community Fund Grant Application Form, and other documentation may be required.
5) If your application is for a single item over £250.00 it should be accompanied by at least two quotations/estimates.
6) Applications in excess of £1,500 will only be considered in exceptional circumstances
7) Any Grant awarded must be spent within six months of the date the Grant is paid
8) Evidence of use must be provided to the Ipplepen Community Fund within one month of the Grant being spent and not later than seven months after the Grant is paid.
9) Under normal circumstances only one application within a 12 month period will be considered.

Priority Criteria
Priority will be given to those applications that are able to clearly demonstrate how the application –
i. promotes the well-being of the community of Ipplepen, including which people will benefit and how many
ii. relates to a specific project(s) and not to general, on-going revenue costs
iii. supports the objectives of the Parish Plan
iv. can lever in other funding sources
v. is not the sole source of funding for the project(s)
